The First Clinic on Thursday is an all-about clinic and will focus on an introduction to Layout Command Control (LCC). Brian and Matt Goodman will explain the background of LCC, its functions, and how it differs from DCC. He will cover the new standards for LCC, along with the latest updates for 2025. This clinic is open to all attendees and will be included in the clinic schedule.
Second Clinic Description:
On Friday, Brian will hold a Make and Take Clinic. This section of the clinic will include a brief presentation followed by a self-paced, hands-on component. The Make and Take portion uses the RR-Cirkits Starter Kit, Signal-LCC, and a custom simulation board created by Brian. Attendees will take all equipment home.
The goal of this second clinic is to get you, the attendee, familiar with configuring an LCC node. Examples include Block Detection, Switch activation and position, Crossing Signals, and Color position Signals.
This Hands-On clinic is an extra fare item with limited enrollment of up to 8 attendees.
The $150.00 fee is intended to cover the expense of the electronic device parts.
You may sign up before the convention, or at the convention if space is available and you have a laptop.
