Banquet Information Page

The Buckeye Express Convention concludes Saturday evening with the Awards Banquet. Cocktails begin at 6:00 pm with a social hour and a cash bar. The Banquet will start at 6:45 pm. Join your fellow Mid Central Region members as we formally recognize those members who have achieved Master Model Railroader status in the past year, congratulate the winners of the Celebration of Modeling, and present other awards. The banquet will be capped off by our featured speaker, Stu Nicholson, from All Aboard Ohio, an organization focused on returning passenger rail service to Ohio.
This year's banquet offers a choice of three entrees - Sirloin Steak, Grilled Salmon, or Eggplant Parmesan, sides, and dessert. The keynote speaker for the Buckeye Express banquet is Stu Nicholson.

Stu joined the Rail Passengers Association Board of Directors in 2024. He also serves as the Communications Director for the Lakeshore Rail Alliance and is the former Executive Director of All Aboard Ohio.
Stu, a self-described "recovering journalist," previously had a 22-year career in television news as an award-winning reporter.
Stu has 15 years of experience in public relations and media relations, serving as:
* Public Information Director (PIO) and Communications Director for the Central Ohio Transit Authority
* Public Information Officer for the Ohio Rail Development Commission
* Representative for Ohio Governors Taft and Strickland on the Midwest Interstate Passenger Rail Commission
